I am under the impression that less bandwidth will be required if only data has to transmitted, as in case of FAT Client. Whereas in case of Thin Client, the application components are also downloaded simultaneously as the user operates different sections of the application.

In my case, number of users is very limited & deploying a Fat Client application is very convenient. Also I will need to make far lesser changes to the existing code, which will maintain existing stability of the application.

Although making a full blown internet application is always a good idea, but converting an application to one should be need based.

I wanted to discuss the possibility of recieving recordsets from the server using XML and sending updates using SQL Pass Through.
