I don't have to use the DO CASE. But..it is less work to do a long DO CASE than to design a solution that replaces the DO CASE. The DO CASE involves many different kind of "sub-routines". So one way I see doing it is to put these sub-routines in a memo field of a DBF and compile and execute at run time. But I am being lazy at this moment and want an easy solution <g>
