I have a main table and a child table, all connected with appropriate primary (parent) and foreign (child) key: "indexes". The form has both tables displayed in its own grid. Move the pointer in the parent and all the children repopulate, according. It works great.

I don't display any of the pk/fk on the grids.

Now I would like everything to stay connected but I want the child table displayed in descending order on one of the date fields (most current on top). The child table has an index tag [INDEX on dtos(sentdate) TAG sentdate DESCENDING] and I would like it to sort the display of the child grid without disrupting the already established pk/fk connection.

This doesn't sound all that complex, but changing the controling index of the child table looses the pk/fk connection. Is there a way to keep the pk/fk link but display the child grid in a different order.
