Hi Evelyn,
if you are using VFP9 the first thing to try is to SET TABLEVALIDATE TO 0, then try to open the table, if that's successful, just copy alll the data into a new table, delete the original table and rename the new one to the old one.
If that doesn't work, search for DBF repair utilities on the net. I remember one was called "fixfoxpo", but can't remember others.
