I have a field which holds a 25 character string. This represents a drawing type code. The first three characters identify the main type, second three class, third three model, etc.

I need a smart SQL statement that will take a parameter of 3 to 25 characters and find matches in my table.

Example Param 1: "0010000000000000000000000" = Seat Assys
would pull all Seat Assys even with other characters set to other than "0"

Or

Example Param 2: "0010010000000000000000000" = Seat Assys,F/C
would pull all F/C Seat Assys

Or
Example Param 3" "0000000010000000000000000" = Model 5300 Seats
would pull all 5300's reguardless of main type or class

Please give me some direction and Thanks.
