I am trying to return a value from a form. I am sending part of item identification to another form to do a search in a grid and then return the identification with some other information.
In the first form I initialized a variable as text. I entered the "Do Form to Variable" syntax. In the second form, I set the window type to modal and in the init I set up a parameter for the variable. I then try to assign it to a user-defined property. But I get a error message box with a .f. message that it's the wrong value, type or argument. Shouldn't the parameter be the same type of variable as is being sent from the first form?
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Jack Taylor
