Hi Naomi,

How are you getting the data into the spreadsheet?

When I type 123456789 and then Format > Cells > Special > Socail Security Number (macro is Selection.NumberFormat = "000-00-0000" as you had) it works just fine. If I type 123456789 in another cell and copy/paste it into a pre-formatted SSN cell it brings the formatting from the source cell with it.
