I am attempting to write records from VFP (7 or 9) into a table that is simultaneously open in dBase IV.

When I open dBase and check for the records freshly inserted into the table, they cannot be found by any index. I have to open them exclusively and reindex in order to see the records.

Is there a documented problem in writing to a DOS-based table from VFP, and is there a workaround?
