Thanks for the response. That was actually my solution but the problem is the customer part requires 2 lines in height and the detail only one line of height so when there are a lot of detail lines the report is long b/c now the detail lines take a lot of space. So my customer asked me to keep the detail line at one line so that rules out having the header info at the detail level.

I know in VFP 9 there were some new features dealing with grouping and saving space. I looked at some info on the net but didn't find anything concrete.

I guess if this can't be done then I'll just have to keep the header at the top and tell the user the header at the top will make the report go faster haha.
