No,

I mean refine your select command. only one field index can't enought.

like:
insert INTO mstr ;
 Select * From main2 Where ;
  file_date Not In ;
   (Select  file_date From mstr)
>thank you i try with one field only samething,
>
>USE main2
>select main2
>INDEX on file_date TO ll
>
>USE mstr
>select mstr
>INDEX on file_date TO tt
>
>insert INTO mstr ;
> Select * From main2 Where ;
>  DtoS(file_date) + DtoS(intervdate)+Str(num) Not In ;
>   (Select  DtoS(file_date) + DtoS(intervdate)+Str(num) ;
>    From mstr)
