I am experiencing a problem with ASP.NET application where the
application has failing access to files/folders create with SUBST
command. I don't think this is an ASP.NET problem but rather something I need to do on the OS level. Here is description of the problem in more details:

I created a folder D: by using DOS command SUBST D: C:\DATA.

There is a physical folder C:\DATA\MYFOLDER.

When I try to access the folder (from ASP.NET app) as C:\DATA\MYFOLDER, all works well.

When I try to access the folder (again, from ASP.NET app) as
D:\MYFOLDER, the access is denied.

What can I do to get around this problem?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
