I'm trying to change a windows registry setting that is somehow protected. (HKLM\System)

If I try to make a change using regedit it wont let me save the change....so I guess what I need to do is make some type of boot cd that will allow me to edit it when I boot from the CD. I tried using peBuilder to make the boot disk, and while that all worked and the system boots, I can't see my c: drive when I use this boot cd.

Anyone have any suggestions?
