Many experts I've heard from and read about today don't expect this to have any measureable effect on the level of violence we are seeing in Iraq today. Some in the Middle East don't even think Zarqawi was even that important, that he was elevated to a high level so that people could point to today as a high water mark.

Keep in mind that Israel's strategy to fight terrorism has been to go after those in charge. It hasn't really done them too much good.
