Windows 2003 Server
Dear all,
We have one client where out application is installed on the Windows 2005 server with Chinese Language set as the default language in the regional settings.
The client has connections to the server via Win 98 /XP clients on the LAN while an additional 10-20 users connect via terminal services.
We compiled our program on our PCs with regional language set to US English.
When we deploy the app, we reindex the database tables in their server so that the collation sequence is update with Chinese.
For the Win 98 PCs, they are using Chinese Star as the Chinese language interpreter.
However, we realised that the system hits a lot of C5 errors and this could happen in any of the screens. We also noticed a bit of index files corruption as well. Can't seem to nail it down to any particular area or trace this but asking the client to reindex frequently as a stop gap measure.
The same app is deployed in many other sites with no problems.
Hope someone can assist.
Thanks in advance.
Yau
