Don't get me wrong, I love The Who, and still enjoy listening to the music of many of the other geezer rockers. I just wish there was a mandatory retirement age. So many of them said 99% of what they had to say 30 or 40 years ago and are still out there touring.

I was fortunate enough to see The Who live three times -- first at the old Chicago Stadium in 1975 (with fake tickets! LOL), then at the L.A. Coliseum in 1981 or so, The Clash opening for them, and finally at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin in about 1988. All great shows.

>Mike, did you see where Pete Townshend will be kicking off the European tour in Leeds, England - 36 years after "Live at Leeds" was released? Here is the article: http://www.petetownshend.co.uk/diary/display.cfm?id=296&zone=pr

>A new album will be released this year along with a concert tour in the states. Hard to think of a better band to see live than these guys...

>>>This is VERY good news. News that I hope leads to another concert tour!

>>AARP should really start sponsoring some of these tours ;-) I bet when Pete Townshend wrote the line "Hope I die before I get old" he didn't realize that was going to be the only way out of a successful rock band.
