The setup of the Server is up to our client's IT department. So, I kinda have to plan for the case they are part of a domain or not, have sql 2000, sql 2005, etc, running multi instances, etc
The point is, if SQL 2005 is not configured to be visible on the network than you've no way to enumerate it.
