>While this shows me information about SERVER NETWORK CONFIGURATION, I could not see how that helps me in VFP. I need to be able to get a list of SQL servers and any instances of SQL SERVER either on a DOMAIN or not. I will not have control of how the servers are setup. The setup of the Server is up to our client's IT department. So, I kinda have to plan for the case they are part of a domain or not, have sql 2000, sql 2005, etc, running multi instances, etc

The point is, if SQL 2005 is not configured to be visible on the network than you've no way to enumerate it.
