sorry, found something out. If I change "MyCustomNavToolbar : mmNavigationToolBar" to "MyCustomNavToolStrip : mmNavigationToolStrip", there is an ellipses button next to the "Read-Only". Nevertheless I can add now buttons, but there is no longer an immage list in the design view.

So far, so good. I try it any further...
