I have this VFP line that I am trying to convert to VB.NET:

   if LEFT(lcString,3)=CHR(0xFF)+CHR(0xD8)+CHR(0xFF)
       Return "JPG"
   End If

I need to find the proper syntax to accomodate this hexadecimal line.
