Bruno,

I have seen the same problem happen last fall after one of the O/S service packs was released. I have not yet found a solution. In our case we were running a VFP .exe for about 5 years without a problem. But after the SP the exe would launch but never actually start running. The window never showed up, the first thing the exe does is write to a log file on the network and that write never happens. We can see the process as a task in taskman but not as a application. If we remote desktop to the machine either with our own credentials or the credentials the box uses and run the exe from explorer it runs like it should. But the task scheduler can't even launch a visible notepad on that box now.

>Using Scheduled tasks (but this could be a wrong translation of italian 'Operazioni pianificate' accessed by Start-Accessories-SystemUtilities-Scheduled Tasks?) I'd like to display a message i.e. each Monday at 11:00 am, no matter if a Dos window, a VBScript Msgbox().
>But it seem impossible, the program (bat file) runs, never closes (is listed in TaskManager, programs) and doesn't display any message. Maybe no UI is allowed. This was posssible with W98.
>Is there a way to display a message at a given time with XP Pro?
