I agree, every customer I have had could not live within the linmitations of the packaged software, and every one felt they got a good return on their buck going custom. I personally think much of the shrink wrapped software is cumbersome and lacking flexibility. I would never try to compete with shrink wrap, if they want that they don't hire me :)
