Have you looked at webdrive? (www.webdrive.com)

Webdrive will map your FTP, SFTP, FPT/S (all different beasts) to a standard Windows drive letter. Once you have this drive letter you can use regular VFP file and directory commands to check for a file, copy it, delete it, etc.

Webdrive is at the top of my list of 'highly recommended' products. Works like a charm.
