I ended up using the following code:
Me.MmMenuStripExtender.SetMenuSecuritySetup(Me.MainMenuStrip.Items, True)

I am getting the three mm security forms instantiated and the Security setup form precedes the other targeted secured forms if setup itself is checked and the target menu item bar has its controlID's filled.

The only thing is that I do not see any red checks next to the secured menu items; the security setup just comes up properly populated before/over the selected form.
