Hi,
Create a temp directory under your app directory and add the following entries to config.fpw and see what happens

tmpfiles = your_app_drive:\your_app\TEMP
sortwork = your_app_drive:\your_app\TEMP
progwork = your_app_drive:\your_app\TEMP
editwork = your_app_drive:\your_app\TEMP
resource = your_app_drive:\your_app\foxuser.dbf

Substitute your_app_drive & your_app to point to where your app is located

>Well it looks like the answers here put me on the right track - but I'm still confused. I had to put some trace code in the application and recompile it. It now tells me that sys(2003) is pointing to c:\windows\system32 in win XP, while in win98 it's pointing to the same directory where the exe is located.
