Does Bill Gates "semi-retirement" mean anything in terms of technical direction or emphasis for MS? I know Ray Ozzie developed Notes and read that his emphasis is on collaborative systems.

Alex

P.S. Here is Ozzie's blog: http://rayozzie.spaces.msn.com/PersonalSpace.aspx Very cool

Another very significant reference: http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/txt/mslivelabs2.html

I am very happy with the way MS seems to be going here and hope they keep at it. It is in fact "exciting" in a way that .NET never was. It is *additive*, empowering you to do new and useful things without having to drop the way you were things and start all over again in this new way that has a long learning curve.

Is Ken working in LiveLabs?
