A customer wants me to use their server remotely. So he sent me a file (WSC.RDP) and says that I should save it to the Desktop. My PC is Win XP Pro SP2. I am concerned that by opening this file, WSC.RDP, I can corrupt my registry or cause some side-effect problem. I know this is a paranoia of unknown, but this is a new notebook and I don't want to start by messing it up.

If you used Remote Desktop on XP pro and especially when you did it by loading a file sent by someone else, have you had any problems?

Any constructive input (none of those "you need a therapist" <g>) would be appreciated.
