Yes, that is the way I am thinking. There is object code in the VCX. There is also object code in the Project table. Perhaps it processes the VCX much faster.
If this difference holds up, I will add this to the Wiki article as a "win" for the VCX. :-)
I would love it if someone could tell me, "Just do this little thing and the PRG files will build just as fast as the VCX files."
In the meantime I await the arrival of my new Dell 5150 with Pentium D 820 (dual-core) processor which should reduce my build times considerably. :-)
Dell had some kind of closeout sale and discounted them $490.
