I didn't try adding a new Master page. I did finally get it to work by copying the placeholder lines before dragging on the mm.css and then pasting it back in the source.

I think I finally got it to work almost like the instructions described but I had to add a blank line or something to get the placeholder lines to stay put.

At any rate, I have finally reached the point where I can work for hours at a time without being ready to scream. I think I may finally be getting the hang of this.
