do you have any hard numbers won by systematic testing more and more numbers or is this just "base mechanics" as more users tend to append/edit/save more data thereby making .cdx more often "dirty" ?

AFAIK the sometimes heavy network traffic increase seen after the second user opens tables in some server/client OS-combinations levels of, but this I never tested this area sufficiently enough to make broad statements.
