Cipher50 does work well, but it is a fairly basic encryption- as it must be to allow encryption/decryption using the same call. You also have to write code specifically to encrypt/decrypt your fields.

In contrast, cryptor interfaces quite well with the Windows file system. You encrypt a table, then in your app you invoke cryptor with the password, then you can insert, append, replace etc etc to your heart's content and the table is automatically encrypted/decrypted as necessary without any other code changes. The encryption is also a lot more robust, offering preencryption and other options, some of which also provide significant data compression for memo files.

So its worth a look!

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
