Perry, I just got back from the midwest. "Pop" it is! ;-)
As for pick-ups: I advocate coffee. The very best coffee you can find. A lot of people think coffee is bad for you, but check out the second paragraph of this from Harvard:
http://www.health.harvard.edu/press_releases/coffee_health_risk.htmBad risks, huh? ;-) Unless you have severe heart disease, even the most expensive coffee is cheap compared to a fancy drink from a health shop that only does half of this stuff! ;-)
IMHO Caffeine is a cheap, legal drug with fantastic benefits, as long as you buy decent coffee that is still a vegetable extract, not a chemical mix.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
