Detroit Area Fox User Group (DAFUG) presents:
"How to Use InfoPath as the Face of Your Visual FoxPro Application"
By Toni Feltman of F1 Technologies
Thursday June 22, 2006
- "How to Use InfoPath as the Face of Your Visual FoxPro Application"
The idea behind n-tier design is to break an application into distinct layers so that any single layer can be replaced with one of a different flavor. This session expands on this idea by showing you how to use InfoPath as the user interface (or Face) of part of a VFP Application. Microsoft Office InfoPath is a lightweight information-gathering technology that can be easily integrated with new or existing VFP applications.
In this session, you will learn:
1. Learn how to create basic InfoPath forms with validation
2. Examine how to build VFP components to consume InfoPath data
3. See how to integrate InfoPath and your VFP components
4. Explore issues of packaging and distribution of this type of solution
- Open discussion and the other normal chatter of tips and tricks.
- Anything else people want to talk about.
Hope to see you there.
