On the west coast you say coke or diet coke depending upon which one you want. When I was in the south in the early 1960's a favorite expression was, "Give me an RC and Moonpie". I do not know if they still use that expression or not?
We had RC in San Francisco when I was a kid and I liked it more than coke. I have not looked for RC for years and do not know if it is still made. In fact I have not had a softdrink in about 35 years, as I just do not like the taste (too much sugar and God only knows) and will not drink a Diet anything! :)
