OK... I have some time... let's see:

# am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. Thou shalt have no other gods besides Me... .."

I wish I ever went to Egypt, but I did not. This guy seems not to be so omniscient after all. I even have an aliby for all this time! Really wasn't there. So he's not mine, or else he or she would know this.

And I don't have any gods, other or same, thanks. So I think I've done OK by this one.

# "Do not make a sculpted image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above..."

I tried a bit of sculpting in sixth grade, but didn't really make any birds, clouds or asteroids (or steroids, for that matter). There were unindentifiable lumps of clay that may have resembled some asteroids, but 1) I didn't consider them finished, 2) it was unintentional and 3) even if you find the asteroid, I don't have these lumps anymore, can't prove anything.

So far so good.

# "Thou shalt not swear falsely by the name of the LORD..."

I presume I'm a free person, hence nobody's a lord over me, hence no names available to swear by, falsely or otherwise.

# "Remember [zachor] the Sabbath day and keep it holy" (the version in Deuteronomy reads shamor, "observe")

Ooops, sorry, but I don't find any particular day of the week to be particular in any way. And you guys should get your act straight - which is the first day of the week, anyway? Sunday or Monday?

I admit I've mowed my lawn last Sunday (but that's relaxation for me) and I've worked yesterday (hey, as an independent I work when I have work) and anyway, I never liked anyone telling me what to do and when to do it, specially not when not to do it. I'm not apologizing for this. Seems to be this is where you lost me.

And I just checked, there's no Black Sabbath on my playlist either.

# "Thou shalt honour your father and your mother..."

Sure do. Email them at least once a week, with pictures.

# "Thou shalt not murder"

Agree. Don't do that. And try your best to prevent others. Speak up against anything that may cause war in the long run. And specially in the short run.

# "Thou shalt not commit adultery."

Anything is OK between consenting adults, except violence and coercion (psychological, physical, financial). I don't do that simply because one of the ladies in question would get less attention than she deserves, and that's not an honest relationship IMO.

# "Thou shalt not steal."

I did steal a lot when I was conscripted - stole brooms and coal from the other squadron. And it's also a pleasure to steal from a thief.

That being said, I'd never want to become rich by stealing. Just doesn't feel right. In the total, I think I stole about 100 times less than what was stolen from me, so I sleep well.

# "Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor"

Didn't even try, but the minutes were taken in such a language that I really never would use, not even drunk. Yet I had to sign it. Good that the guy wasn't my neighbor at all.

# "Thou shalt not covet your neighbor's house..."

His house is just ugly. He has no taste. I wouldn't want to live in such a house. Actually it's not his house, he's renting. There's nothing wrong with taking the matter in your hands (and I mean hammer, saw, drill, screwdriver etc) and making your house what you want it.
