I'm lost too... I mean, what does a professional starving artist do? What's his best career move? How does one become a boss to other professional starving artists? Do they have a professional association? If they have a convention, is there any food served? Do amateur starving artists do the same? Is the difference between amateurs and professionals the same as in sports (i.e. one do it for love and the others for money)?

As usual, Mike has given us a(n implied) philosophical question which opens a whole new field for discussion.
