I think the reason is simple, VFP9 is made for modern applications and modern hardware. If you need to use dated hardware, you should also use dated software, it's as simple as that. I don't mean to be arrogant or anything, but I am relistic. Why should MSFT spend its limited VFP resources on this? I threw my last dot matrix printer out the door about 10 years ago, and I have not missed it, not even once. With today's cheap laser printers and barcode printers, I see no reason whatsoever to use a DMP. If you need more than one copy, print the page more times. If you need a signature on more than one paper, ask for more signatures, or get a cheap signature reader/scanner, and print the signature on the paper.
