Can't tell without checking his head. Maybe some refresh issues in the TS before the NT4-like version (whichever that was - and I've used that and didn't have problems) coupled with VFP before VFP6.
I've even had a situation where it was faster for some users in the local network to run the app via Citrix than straight off the server - because the local network was just slow, so the image refresh overhead was actually requiring less bandwidth than the file IO when running the VFP8 exe locally against the tables on the file server. And the difference was quite impressive - 3 minutes to churn some 20 megs of Excel sheets via Citrix against 20+ minutes on file server. Even though the app accessed the same files while running on Citrix :).
