As it mentions Mc, I remember having heard recently that McUSA is using much cheaper oil for its fries, and much more trans-fat, compared to Mc Europe. And the calories etc are about triple than over there. Their representative said they are trying to adjust the recipe to local tastes (does that mean they think the populus americanus likes it really greasy? :) and that they're actively researching a possible replacement for the type of grease they're using here.

Actively researching? How long does it take to come to an idea to just use the European recipe here?
