Hi Todd
>Symantec AV Ver 10.1
Are you sure it is version 10.1 or maybe 10.0.1.NNNN?
DO NOT turn auto protect off it protects you from viruses. F.ex. Script viruses (w32.netsky etc.) downloaded and run automaticly when you enter to the bad site or if you have your email preview pane active (and get eveil message) or someone hacked to your PC and started a script there.
Rather open AV, select Configure, select File system Auto-Protect and then change All types to Selected! There you can even add or drop file types you want to include / exclude. Default is that when Selected is used now VFP file is scanned except EXEs. Of course you can even exclude VFP directiores outside of Auto-Protect within that AV configure.
