No, 2 countries. Scotland has its own laws, own police force (England & Wales police have no jurisdiction in Scotland), own parliament, own education system (better then England's), etc., etc.

Strangely, Scottish MPs can be in the UK parliament (in London), but English MPs can't be in the Scottish (in Edingburgh). Wales has its own "Assembly" of MPs.

Scotland and England became a union centuries ago. There are those who, like Quebec in Canada, would like to devolve. In theory, if enough Scottish Unionist, Plaid Cymru (Welsh party), and different minor parties in parliament "clubbed together" and scored a majority vote, they could cause the devolution of the UK altogether.

Yes, England conquered Wales back in medieval times, and the whole island of Ireland centuries later (look at the GB flag from back then - had the red "+" of St George, and, with the blue background, the white "X" of Andrew of Scotland, but not the red "X" of St Patrick of Ireland over the white "X" until Ireland was beaten. (So then it was 3 kingdoms)

Of course, S Ireland broke free back in the 1900s but N Ireland remained part of the union.

Now, as to "You have 4 football team ..." - my team is England only. There's no way I'd support Scotland, say, unless England were not in the competition, then I'd suppport them as part of the UK (rather than any of you johnny foreigners).
