I have a notebook connected (wired) to a Linksys router. The Linksys router is wireless as well. My notebook has a built-in wireless G card which picks up the router signal too. So on my system tray I see two icons indicating connection to the internet:
1. Wireless at speed 54.0 Mbps
2. 1394 Connection at speed 400 Mbps.

Which one of the two my notebook is using when I am browsing the web or emailing?

Is there a way to "force" the notebook to use the wired connection (obviously it is faster) without disabling the wireless?

Thank you in advance for any input or any suggestions.
