I didn't mean to imply that Visual Studio .Net and Sun's Studio Creator 2 are client sided, or in any way integrated into the browsers on the client side. <g> For development of web applications to be consumed by the browsers, both .NET and Sun's Studio Creator 2 are server centric.

Trusting a small third party vendor with this vital of a potential entry into your system and network is not something I could recommend to anybody no matter how useful. Look at all the security fixes coming out of all the browser vendors - that's a full time occupation for a boatload of people on each of these large teams.
