I read through your posts this morning and I agree with everything.

In my first iteration through .NET, I sometimes thought some of the same things that others are saying. It was a little frustrating at the time, because I "didn't know what I didn't know". The curve is a little easier now than 4 years ago, because of the tremendous amount of information available on blogs.

But still, there's so much to .NET, it's not unlike going through 4 years of learning German or French. Generally, somewhere around the third iteration is when you really get a true feel for what you can do (and can't do) with the tool.
