IMHO the business pressure behind LINQ and SQL/w (everyWhere) is not from the tiny group of vfp programmers fenced in by legions of Dotnet. Consider that java is given a java source database in SUN's next implementation and Python 2.5 (targeted within the next 3 Month) has all the interface classes for SQlite (which I view as a more SQL-leaning *embedded* database) in the "batteries included" approach.
