>>I have a grid bound to columns in a view. The view is sorted by a line item number - a column on the table and view. There is a delete and an add button to manage the items in this grid. I would like to specify where on the grid the item that is being added by using a line item number. For example, if I have a line with a number of 1 and a line with a number of 3 on the grid, if I add one with a number of 2, I would like it to insert between lines 1 and 3. Right now, it just puts it on the end when I perform the insert. After the records are saved and the form/grid is reopened, the records are sorted fine. What am I missing?

Yeah, the view has an index on line number. That is why when I go back into the application, it is sorted fine. It is just right after the insert that I can't get the grid to refresh properly.
