Tore,

>One thing these annoying people have in common is that they do most their jobs for for huge organisations, they simply don't understand that 85% of the market is companies employing 1-20 people. It's like comparing a Porsche to a 10-seater. Both will transport you from A to B, and while one person can drive a 10-seater, you can not transport your whole family with a Porsche. But does this mean that the owner of the 10-seater has any right to belittle the single guy who owns a Porsche? They have different needs and priorities at the moment, and that's it.

Seen from the time slice of months this is totally correct. And as I also work for such projects, there is really a marked difference in the needs. But when working 15 years ago for not to shabby banks here in frankfurt, the level needed was that of a small company today. With even government forcing small busineses to use IT it creates a trend to get the "overly structured" mess of corporate development "plans" (reminding me often to the plans in the former eastern block, which also were off target a measely couple of hundred percent) into smaller developments as well. Sometimes the trend is not your friend...

And yes, not EVERYTHING is worse in corporate development (at least not the pay <g>), but the fun factor can be throttled a lot <bg>.

regards

thomas
