I doubt this will change your mind, since it seems so made up.Uh oh. Can't resist, can you? ;-)
One thing I can make my mind up about: developers who think they are going to "take a bath" on their cool new app are not necessarily the best business mentors. ;-)
Look, VFP has never been a first choice for graphics apps. I am not all surprised that C# would be used for this, though I am surprised to learn that existing 3-D rendering technology cannot annotate objects since I seem to remember doing that more than a decade ago. Whatever. I'm sure it is an amazing app. But who, in the VFP forum, do you suppose would advocate doing that with VFP? In over a decade, I've never seen such a suggestion. IMHO that's where these discussions go wrong. dotNET is allowed to be successful- and it can be successful without needing a swipe at any other tool. This is not a game of football with a single winner. It's a fun fair, with swings, roundabouts and shooting galleries at which everybody has a chance to win.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
