>>I really don't watch much TV, but even so it seems like I've seen that ad for the buried Volvo (in a tanker car) that is "somewhere in the world" about a million times. "Find it, and it's yours." Well, out of curiousity I got one of the treasure maps and I am addicted. I'm on step 7 of 15 (maybe 16). Only the final step involves shovels, everything else is on their web site. It sounds like the final step is going to be similar to a reality show with the 7 finalists.

>>Anyway, it seemed like the kind of thing UT people would be into. I was shocked that when I looked there hasn't been any kind of mention of it here.

>>So, if you feel like you just haven't been spending enough hours looking at a computer, you should drop by a Volvo dealership and pick up a map with your unique number. The contest is going on in several countries (USA, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom and Austria). You can see where the game starts and even do some stuff with the game on their web site, but you can't leave the first step without your unique map key. The link for the game in the USA is www.volvocars.us/thehunt.

>>If you do join and become a finalist, feel free to take me as your guest ;-).

>I just bought a 2001 V70 Cross-Country AWD and took it to Florida and New Orleans. It rides like a Benz, got 26 mpg going 70-75 on the highway too. Great car.

Want to tell us about the trip to New Orleans?
