Hi,
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;261004 Check the version number and dates, the SP update may have failed to update the file.

Also check for a virus infection, regsvc.exe is also a process belonging to the Ace Spy advertising program by Retina-X Studios.

>We've got a Win2k SP4 box where twice now in the last week regsvc.exe has gone on a memory leak rampage and consumed all the memory on the box. One guy's solution I've found was to stop/restart the service every 8 hours. In the interim till we get a better solution I'm going to do the same thing. I'd like to see though if there is an API or Shell object call I can make that can tell me how much real and virtual memory this service is using so that I can log the data.
