FYI

I had a lot of trouble today getting the Transfer SQL Server Objects Task in Integration Services to transfer anything at all until I found a post on a blog from someone who spent many more hours than I did wrestling with the same issue.

See: http://www.tdaley.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryID/9/Default.aspx

The upshot of the post is: set the CopySchema property to True on the task object.

I did this, and actually copied a table from one SQL Server instance to another. So, I was able to reach my goal of producing at least 2 bytes of workable code per day.

(The post also says that the destination database has to be set to a compatibility level of 9.0, but this was already true in my case.)
