ODBC is not necessarily slower than ADO, but it does use more resources. You have several options, each has its own pros and cons:
- Remote Views (ODBC)
- SQL Passthrough (SPT) (ODBC)
- CursorAdapter (ODBC or ADO)
- Andy Kramek's Data Classes (ODBC,

>Hi all,
>Looking at converting the database of a legacy VFP6SP5 app from VFP to SQL Server.
>The app uses views extensively for data entry.
>Understand from some that we may be better off rewriting the app if we're going to use ADO to connect to SQL Server.
>Any good books or advice on this.
>Thanks
